LeyApp is a digital platform that facilitates access to licensed lawyers in Spain. It connects foreigners with independent legal professionals across various areas of law, including immigration, labor, tax, family, and criminal matters.
Is LeyApp a law firm?
No. LeyApp is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice directly. The legal services are provided exclusively by independent lawyers registered with their respective Bar Associations.
Who can use LeyApp?
LeyApp is designed for foreigners who require legal guidance in Spain and seek a structured and transparent way to connect with qualified professionals.
How are lawyers verified?
All lawyers listed on the platform must be licensed and registered with a Spanish Bar Association. Verification of professional credentials is conducted before approval.
Can I choose my lawyer?
Yes. Users can review lawyer profiles and select the professional that best fits their legal needs.
What happens if a lawyer does not respond?
If a lawyer does not respond within the established timeframe, alternative professionals with similar qualifications may be suggested.
How is my data protected?
LeyApp operates in compliance with applicable data protection regulations, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Personal data is processed securely and only for the purposes necessary to facilitate the legal consultation.
Are payments secure?
All transactions are processed through a secure payment system designed to ensure transparency and protection for both clients and professionals.
What is the cancellation policy?
You can cancel a booking up to 24 hours before the scheduled time for a full refund. Cancellations within 24 hours receive a 50% refund. If a lawyer doesn't attend, you receive an automatic full refund.
Can I reschedule a booking?
Yes. Both clients and lawyers can propose a new time for an approved booking. The other party can accept or decline. Each booking allows up to 3 reschedules. Rescheduling must be requested at least 4 hours before the appointment.
How long does a refund take?
Refunds are processed immediately through Stripe. Depending on your bank, it may take 5 to 10 business days for the refund to appear on your statement.
Can I sign in with Face ID or fingerprint?
Yes. LeyApp supports passkeys and biometric authentication. You can set up Face ID, Touch ID, or fingerprint login from your account settings or the mobile app.
Is there a mobile app?
Yes. The LeyApp mobile app is available for iOS and Android. It includes search, booking, payments (Apple Pay, Google Pay), push notifications, and biometric login. The app is currently in closed beta.
What is two-factor authentication (2FA)?
2FA adds an extra layer of security to your account by requiring a temporary code from an authenticator app (Google Authenticator, Authy, etc.) in addition to your password. You can enable it from Settings.
Do I receive an invoice for my consultation?
Yes. After a paid consultation you can download your invoice as a PDF at any time from your dashboard. Invoices itemize the lawyer's fee and LeyApp's service fee, with IVA included where applicable.
In what languages can I use LeyApp?
The whole platform works in Spanish, Catalan, English, French and Arabic. You can also filter lawyers by the languages they speak, so you get advice in the language you're most comfortable with.
Who can join LeyApp?
Licensed lawyers registered with a Spanish Bar Association and practicing in recognized areas of law.
How does the verification process work?
Lawyers must provide documentation confirming their registration and professional status. Profiles are reviewed before activation.
What is the role of LeyApp in the lawyer-client relationship?
LeyApp facilitates contact, booking, and secure payment processing. The legal advice and professional responsibility remain exclusively with the lawyer.
Can I block a client?
Yes. Lawyers can block specific clients from booking future consultations. The blocked client sees a neutral 'not available' message — they are not informed of the block. You can manage your block list from Settings under Contact Preferences.
What happens if a client cancels?
If a client cancels 24+ hours before, they receive a full refund and you earn nothing from that booking. If they cancel within 24 hours, they receive a 50% refund and you receive 50% of the fee (minus service fee).
Can I reschedule a booking with a client?
Yes. You can propose a new time for an approved booking. The client will be notified and can accept or decline. Each booking allows up to 3 reschedules.
How does the advanced availability work?
You can choose between Simple mode (toggle individual slots on/off) and Advanced mode (set recurring patterns with exceptions, buffer times between consultations, and minimum notice periods). Both modes prevent double bookings.
Can I sync LeyApp with my own calendar?
Yes. Connect your Google or Outlook calendar and LeyApp will respect your busy slots when offering availability to clients, and confirmed consultations can be added to your calendar. Sync only affects when clients can book you — you stay in control.
Can my law firm have a presence on LeyApp?
Yes. Lawyers can create their firm or join an existing one directly from the dashboard — or already at registration. A firm groups your verified lawyers under one profile with shared management tools for members, policies and privacy.
How does firm verification work?
Firms go through their own verification, separate from each lawyer's individual bar verification. Our team reviews the firm's details, and verified firms display a badge across the platform.
How do we manage the firm's team?
Firm owners and admins can invite lawyers by email, approve join requests, assign roles and manage per-lawyer privacy settings. Each lawyer keeps their own profile, calendar and client relationships.
How does billing work for a firm?
Each lawyer receives their own consultation payouts, exactly as solo lawyers do. Firms can additionally grant an accountant read access to invoices and earnings across the whole team from one place.
Does our firm get a public page?
Yes. Verified firms appear in the public firms directory with their team, practice areas and cities — optimized for search engines, so clients searching for your firm's name find you on LeyApp.
Can we transfer ownership of the firm?
Yes. The current owner can hand ownership to another active member from the firm settings, keeping the firm running when partners change.
What is a sponsor organization?
NGOs, companies and institutions can fund legal consultations for the people they support. As a sponsor organization you invite beneficiaries and set the limits — beneficiaries then choose from verified lawyers and book like any other client, with the cost covered by you.
How do we invite beneficiaries?
One by one by email, or in bulk from a list. Each beneficiary accepts the sponsorship — with full consent about what the sponsor can and cannot see — and can then book consultations within the limits you set.
How do budgets and booking limits work?
Every sponsorship can carry a budget and a maximum number of bookings. LeyApp enforces both automatically — a beneficiary can never exceed what the organization has approved.
Do organizations need to be verified?
Yes. Before inviting beneficiaries, every organization goes through a verification review. This protects beneficiaries, lawyers and the platform.
Can our staff use single sign-on (SSO)?
Yes. Organizations can configure SAML single sign-on so staff sign in through your identity provider, with enforcement set to optional, preferred or required according to your policy.
