What is AI-assisted booking?

LeyApp is one of the first legal platforms that allows AI assistants to check lawyer availability and initiate bookings on your behalf. You can use external AI assistants like Claude, ChatGPT, or Gemini, or try LeyApp's built-in AI assistant directly from the Help button on any page (tap the 'Ask AI' tab).

The AI doesn't complete the booking for you — it just sets everything up so you can confirm. You will always need to sign in to LeyApp and approve the payment before any appointment is confirmed.

The built-in AI assistant (in-app)

LeyApp also ships a built-in AI assistant you can reach from the Help button on any page. It's scoped to LeyApp topics only — finding lawyers, understanding fees, booking consultations, cancellations, verification, and platform features. It will politely decline off-topic questions (general knowledge, coding, other products) and redirect back to LeyApp.

When it needs more information to help you, it asks a short multi-choice question with clickable options (for example: 'Which city? Madrid, Barcelona, Valencia, or other?'). You can tap an option or type a free-text answer.

What the built-in assistant can do

• Find verified lawyers by city, practice area, language, and price — and show profile cards with a direct booking link
• Explain the full price breakdown for an initial consultation (lawyer fee + 15% platform commission + IVA)
• Check available time slots for a specific lawyer within the next 2 weeks
• Answer platform questions about cancellations, refunds, verification, and account settings — with short answers plus a link to the full help article when available
• Suggest interactive walkthroughs when you ask 'how do I…' — a small suggestion bar appears above the input when a relevant guide is detected

How does it work?

Some AI assistants like Claude connect directly to LeyApp via our MCP integration, giving them real-time access to lawyer availability and booking. Others like ChatGPT and Gemini can discover LeyApp through structured data on our pages. Either way, the assistant can find available slots and generate a confirmation link for you to finalize the booking on LeyApp.

Step-by-step process

1. Tell the AI assistant what you need — for example: 'Find an immigration lawyer in Barcelona for Tuesday at 10am'
2. The assistant checks lawyer availability on LeyApp in real time
3. It presents options with name, price, and available time slots
4. You choose an option and the assistant generates a confirmation link
5. Click the link → sign in to LeyApp → confirm and pay securely

Which AI assistants work with LeyApp?

LeyApp supports two levels of AI integration: direct access via MCP (Model Context Protocol) and discovery through structured web data. Compatible assistants include:

• Claude (Anthropic) — connects directly via MCP for real-time availability checks and booking initiation
• ChatGPT (OpenAI) — can search and check lawyer availability through structured data
• Google Gemini — can discover LeyApp through structured search
• Perplexity — can cite lawyer profiles with direct links
• Apple Intelligence and other assistants that read structured web data

Benefits for lawyers

As a lawyer on LeyApp, AI-assisted booking gives you a competitive edge. When a potential client asks an AI assistant 'I need an immigration lawyer in Barcelona', your profile can appear with real-time availability and a direct booking link.

You don't need to do anything special to benefit — LeyApp automatically handles the AI integration for all verified lawyers. Just make sure to keep your availability calendar up to date.

What do lawyers gain?

• Greater visibility — AI assistants recommend you directly when you match the user's query
• More bookings — Clients can book from any AI assistant without manually searching the web
• New channel at no extra cost — AI integration is included in your subscription with no additional commissions

Privacy and data

Only information that is already public on your profile is shared with AI assistants: name, specialties, city, languages, years of experience, service description, professional disclaimer, price, and available time slots. No personal data, bar registration number, private case notes, payment info, or contact information is shared.

The AI is an external search tool, not a LeyApp agent. Bookings created through AI assistants appear in your dashboard with a special label indicating the source, so you can track this acquisition channel.

Frequently asked questions

Can an AI book without my permission?

No. No AI assistant can complete a booking without you signing in to LeyApp and manually confirming the payment. The AI can only prepare the link.

Are there extra costs for AI bookings?

No. The same fees apply regardless of how the booking is initiated: the lawyer's fee for the initial consultation plus a 15% platform fee (plus IVA). Important — this is the reservation fee for the first meeting only. If your case requires additional work beyond the initial consultation, the lawyer will quote that directly after the first meeting, and it is handled separately.

Can I disable AI bookings?

The availability you set in your calendar is shared with the public API. If you don't want to receive AI bookings, you can limit the time slots you publish. However, we recommend keeping them active as it's a free acquisition channel.

Will the AI answer any question I ask?

No. The built-in assistant is scoped to LeyApp topics — finding lawyers, fees, bookings, platform features. It will politely decline general knowledge questions, coding help, or anything unrelated to LeyApp and redirect you back to how it can help on the platform. For legal advice, always consult a qualified lawyer; the AI is not a substitute.
