Understand LeyApp's pricing model, how payments work, and the fee structure for clients and lawyers.

## LeyApp pricing model

LeyApp uses a transparent pricing model. Searching for lawyers and browsing profiles is completely free. You only pay when you book a consultation.

> **Warning**
> IMPORTANT: By default, the amount you pay upfront is a reservation fee only — NOT the full consultation price. The lawyer may charge additional amounts in person for the actual legal work. Always confirm the total cost with the lawyer before the meeting.

## Reservation fee vs final consultation price

The price shown on a lawyer's profile is a reservation fee. This secures your appointment and covers a short initial consultation, but the lawyer may bill additional amounts for the full legal work (hourly rates, document drafting, case fees, etc.) directly.

Some lawyers choose to mark their reservation fee as the final all-inclusive price — in that case, you will see a green 'Final price' badge on their profile and no additional charges apply.

When a lawyer accepts your booking, they can also declare the total expected consultation cost. If they do, you will see it in your booking confirmation email.

## Fee breakdown

- Lawyer's session fee — Set by the lawyer, visible on their profile and search results
- Service fee (15%) — Applied to the lawyer's base price to support the platform
- IVA (21%) — Spanish value-added tax applied to both the lawyer's fee and the service fee

> **Note**
> Browsing lawyers, comparing profiles, and reading reviews is always free. You are only charged when you confirm a booking.

## How payment works

When you book a consultation, your payment is securely held via Stripe. The funds are transferred to the lawyer once the booking is confirmed.

This escrow-style payment protects both parties: clients know their money is safe, and lawyers are guaranteed payment for completed consultations.

## Refunds

If a lawyer declines your booking request, your payment hold is automatically released. No charges will appear on your statement.

If a lawyer does not attend a scheduled consultation, you will receive a full automatic refund. For cancellations within the allowed timeframe (24 hours before), you also receive a full refund.

## For lawyers: receiving payments

Lawyers receive their full consultation fee (plus IVA) after a consultation is marked as completed. The 15% service fee is charged to the client on top — it is never deducted from your earnings.

You can choose your payout method from the Earnings page: Stripe Connect, bank transfer (SEPA), PayPal, or Bizum. Track all your earnings, pending payouts, and completed consultations from the Earnings section of your dashboard.

> **Tip**
> Set up your preferred payout method from the Earnings page. You can receive payouts via Stripe Connect, bank transfer, PayPal, or Bizum.
